Now or later comes the moment to take a look inside ourselves for all of us, to end exploring the world outside and to start with the one inside us, to stop, to think more deeply, to go in another place with our minds, a place where we can feel free.We’ve talked about Camo, the all made in Italy brand by Stefano Ughetti, severals times during the past years; since 2007 it evolved, even spiritually, yes, ‘cause times goes by and growing up we start understanding the real values in life. We can also show those values wearing a dress, that transmits our feelings.
The theme of the F/W11 collection by Camo is Soul Collection, a journey into the soul, that starts on the hills around Biella, in the small town of Oropa, where the inspiration for the collection was born, going back to the origins, where the brand began its success; a journey to start well covered in their cult pieces like the jackets, the trousers and the wool jumpers with their straight and classic but at the same time modern moods, for a man and a woman who don’t need to wear eccentric pieces to feel confy.
Blazers, pullovers, wool cardigans with waist bets, shirts to match with ties and trousers with braces are the articles for their man, with a touch of fantasy for the accessories like the socks, the boiler hats and the wool bags; while for the woman, that we have for the first time during the summer season, we’ll see long 50’s skirts, high waist, men style shirts that reminds me of the old school uniforms and small pullovers to match with oversize cardigans, in double color.
Gray is the mast color of the all collection, that reminds me the color of the walls, austere and cold, with the idea of creating the doubt into people that the ones wearing a Camo piece from the Soul Collection could possibly have something to do with religious or spiritual business. The brand Phonz says black leaves the Circus, theme of the SS/11 collection that will be soon in my shop, to go back to work, exactly to the “Officine”, theme of the season FW/11 shown at Pitti Uomo 79. But their factory isn’t like the other ones, the Gang customizes a lot, fixes and changes pieces, gets dirty till night when the “Officina” turns into a meeting place for Bikers and Musicians; just like their last party to display the brand at the Babylon in Florence, where we had fun and danced rock n roll all night long.
Those are the ingredients that since three seasons ago build the heart of the brand, loud music, fast bikes, foulards around the necks of beautiful women and lots of lead in doing not being afraid of getting dirty.
The instruments, the bikes, the screws, the bolts, the monkey wrenches, are the main inspiration for the fantasies of the foulards, leaving the panthers behind (but we still find them on the clothes) to give space to the elements of the factory; for the second time here there is the limited edition foulard customized by the tattoos maker Massimo Gurnari that leaves (sadly) the yellow-eyed panthers and the characters of the circus to draw bolts and skulls to give a more “factory worker” touch.
The mood of the all collection remains a bit “dark”, their classic piece, the blazer, is enriched with leather applications on the elbows, or to cover the all sleeves, the revers customized with silver studs and leopard skin velvet, so rock n roll that I can’t imagine to wait till next winter to wear one of them, ‘cause, for the few ones who doesn’t know it yet, from this summer season there is a women’s line too, more long and skinny.
But this is not the end ‘cause Phonz says black has a new entry for the next winter, giving us a new point of view on the classic trench, with skinnier volumes in one fabric and three different colors to match with the blazer. Now you have just to wait to wear the one that makes you feel more rock n roll . Gienchi FW11.Pitti

This time I really gaped when at Pitti Uomo in the MyFactory stand (where I found , in my opinion, the coolest and youngest suggestions) i saw the new Gienchi collection, a famous designer from Milan known all over the world for his studded all star, even worn by the fashion icon Agyness Deyn.
Already last season Gienchi gave to his brand a more professional appeal changing the tennis shoes and introducing not only the studded models, but also patterns that reminded of the carnival with a more punk taste given by the dirtying on the rubber soles.
For the next winter Gienchi surprised us all introducing a new shoe, actually three brand new models, and i’m sure that those ones are going to bring him to a next level, away from the idea of the "studded man" and opening to him a new market.
Next to the ones studded with rubber feet , the leopard skin ones with acid tones, the ones with carnival patterns, here we find the new offer, a laced up flat with a very light rubber that reminds me of a mix between a Dr. Martens and a classic Timberland from the 80’s, with colors from the classic black to the brown with a lighter sole, the grey in both leather and wool, where we find a sand version that I love and that you’ll find for sure in my shop for the next season. And, of course  there’s a classic laced up tennis shoe with a lateral elastic band always made of wool with a palette of colors from the light blue to the deep green, that I can imagine worn with some 50’s pants with braces. We are already addicted to them. High five for Gienchi. Alberta Ferretti. Thirty dresses for Thirty women

Alberta Ferretti opened the 79th edition of “Pitti Immagine Uomo” showing 30 special dresses, made for this occasion. The fashion show took place in a great location, the deconsecrated church of “Santo Stefano al Ponte”, choosing the Pitti event to help women throught the collaboration with the Jordan River Foundation, presided by the queen of Jordan, Rania.
Being one of the guests was a real honor, and the location was so stunning leaving me speechless; and another huge honor was to sit right behind (and taking pictures with) Scott Schuman, even if he was in a sulk during the all night.
Alberta Ferretti’s dresses were worn by normal women, from different generations and with lots of different qualities, the same ones that represent and unify today's women, the ones that we can relate to; on the catwalk we could find famous models, socialites, reserchers, lawyers, actress, sportswomen, linked to important humanitarian projects. To say few names: Zani Gugelmann Amanda Hearst, Matilde Borromeo, Martina Colombari, Carmen dell' Orefice, Nicole Grimaudo, Nathalie Moelhaussen, Chiara Ferragni, Sarah Felberbaum, Virginia Valsecchi, Valentina Gambino, Costanza Honorati. Special guest the singer Elisa, who made an unique medley with the songs from her new album “Ivy” performing it in an acoustic version just for the occasion and wearing an imperial style white dress by Ferretti.
