Polish President Victim Plane Crashed on Hot Topics -- Polish President Victim Plane Crashed. Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and some of the country's most prominent military and civilian leaders became victims of plane crashed on April 10, 2010. Russian officials have said none of the 97 people aboard the TU-154 Polish government plane survived the crash. The Polish delegation were on their way to a Katyn memorial ceremony.
